Arctic Intros Accelero Xtreme Plus VGA Cooler, Supports GF100-based Graphics Cards

Arctic Cooling silently introduced the Accelero Xtreme Plus VGA cooler. Built as an extension of the same essential design of the Accelero Xtreme, the Accelero Xtreme Plus supports the latest NVIDIA GF100-based graphics cards, such as GeForce GTX 480, GTX 470, GTX 465. The main heatsink is designed to handle thermal loads of up to 250W. The cooler is also compatible with the mounting plates of older some Accelero models that give it compatibility with other popular GPUs, importantly support for Radeon HD 5000 and GeForce 9/GTS 200 series with the VR001 mounting kit.

The main heatsink consists of a copper-made GPU contact base from which five heat pipes convey heat to two blocks of aluminum fins that are cooled by three 92 mm fans. A patented cooler shroud design works to dampen noise generated by the three fans. The three fans spin at speeds between 800 and 2,000 rpm. The heatsink measures 290 L x 104 W x 56 H mm, weighing 622 g. Included in the package apart from the main heatsink are heatsinks for the memory chips and VRM. The Arctic Accelero Xtreme Plus is priced at US$ 65.95 or 54,95 €.

NOX Xtreme Intros TG1 Thermal Compound

NOX Xtreme released its new high-grade TG1 thermal compound. The compound boasts of high heat conductivity with low thermal resistance. The TG1 has a density of 3.69 g/cm³, and viscosity of 850 poise. As with most thermal compounds in its league, it is not electrically-conductive, or capacitative. Its chemical composition makes it non-corrosive, while it’s viscous enough not to bleed (seep through between the cooler and IHS and leak down). It comes in 4 g syringes, and is priced at around 6€.

Arctic Cooling Announces Accelero XTREME Cooler for Radeon HD 5970 and HD 5870

The Swiss low noise cooling solution provider ARCTIC COOLING today announced the launch of two VGA coolers – the Accelero XTREME 5970 and Accelero XTREME 5870. These two 3-fan solutions are tailor-made for ATI Radeon HD5970 / HD5870. They follow the sophisticated design of the Accelero XTREME series, offering the best cooling for these high-end graphics cards.

Both models are equipped with three 92mm PWM fans running from 900 to 2,000 RPM, generating 81 CFM airflow for efficient heat dissipation from the core(s). The Accelero XTREME 5970 is designed with an 8-heatpipe and 119-fin architecture to achieve 300 watts cooling for the dual-GPU Radeon HD5970. Whereas the Accelero XTREME 5870 comes with 5 heatpipes and 84 fins, providing 250 watts cooling capacity for the Radeon HD5870. A layer of the ARCTIC MX-2 thermal compound is also pre-applied on the base of these two coolers.
