Victorinox, makers of the ubiquitous Swiss Army knives, released its latest variant that has an amazing data storage device, apart from its usual plethora of tools and knives. The storage device connects to PCs over USB 2.0 or eSATA 3 Gb/s (power-eSATA to be precise), and provides no less than 1 TB of storage. It even has a small LCD screen that displays capacity usage. The device even has native 256-bit AES data encryption to protect anything you store in it.
Apart from this gargantuan 1 TB variant, Victorinox is also working on more affordable 256 GB, 128 GB, and 64 GB variants. Oh and the performance, when connected via eSATA 3 Gb/s, the drive provides read speeds of 220 MB/s and 150 MB/s writes. Depending on the capacity of the storage device, these knives will cost anywhere between US $400 and $3,000.
